New Hampshire Motor Speedway Unveils A "Rock Solid" Finish Line

LOUDON, N.H. (August 11, 2010) – Indianapolis Motor Speedway has the “Yard of Bricks,” Augusta has the “Amen Corner,” and of course, Boston’s own Fenway Park has the mighty “Green Monster.” Now, New Hampshire Motor Speedway will have the same iconic item that every fan will remember.

This September, the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series stars will have to pass “The Granite Stripe” at the start-finish line.

Swenson Granite, located in Concord, is creating a brand-new start/finish line on “The Magic Mile.” A six-inch-thick, two-foot-wide by 65-foot strip of Concord Gray colored granite will grace each race start and welcome home each winner. More...
